Horton Cross, Ilminster, Somerset, TA19 9PT
I have worked for over 15 years in the care industry, and have had the privilege of working in various roles that have enriched my understanding of both care delivery and leadership. Starting as a Carer, I developed my passion for supporting individuals and quickly realised that my calling was to be part of a team that makes a positive difference in people's lives.
My professional journey took me from Romania, where I worked as a Nurse in an Emergency Hospital for two years, to the United Kingdom, where I've developed my professional career in leadership positions within Care Homes.
As a leader and manager I firmly believe that a successful nursing home is built on strong teamwork, open communication, and a commitment to continuous improvement. I work closely with both staff and families to create a nurturing environment where residents are treated with dignity and respect, and staff are supported in their professional development.
My mission is to create an environment that promotes quality care, a positive work culture and family involvement. I take immense pride in seeing our team success and seeing the positive impacts on our residents' lives.
We offer care and support for our residents, with a stimulating range of activities, delivered throughout the week by both staff and external providers.
Our nursing home offers private gardens for our residents to pursue their hobbies. (del). The Home is located close to an attractive and peaceful town, which offers a variety of independent shops, a theatre, coffee shops and a local arts centre, for those residents with more artistic flair.
We welcome a variety of external visitors for activities that bring excitement and diversity to our residents. We have had Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary, bring Timothy the Donkey into the home to visit us. The Sharandys Bird of Prey Centre, has shared the magic of magnificent birds in our lounge for up-close experiences. Our residents have also had the chance to meet and interact with alpacas in their bedrooms. We've also hosted visits from Exmoor Zoo, providing even more exciting wildlife encounters to our home.
